ABOUT
I produced, directed, and edited REC the Vote, one of five documentary shorts for the ACLU's partnership with HITRECORD to explore the internet's effect on modern democracy. I found Ayesha's testimonial among hundreds of submissions, inspired by her story of witnessing election fraud and how her community used technology to assert their rights. I owned the film end-to-end—conducting interviews, collaborating with international animators and illustrators, editing, sourcing music, and delivering the final master through multiple rounds of client and internal review.
Across the full campaign, I jumped into the trenches on all five films: editing, sourcing original and archival footage and testimonials, animation work, footage restoration, and conducting interviews—including sitting down with Edward Snowden. The series earned a TVA Emmy nomination for Outstanding Original Interactive Program.
